St. Kitts Selected as Honeymoon Destination for Caribbean Week's Wedding Couple
The lucky couple who are set to get married today at the Caribbean Fair will be jetting off to the Caribbean following their ceremony at Grand Central Station in New York after St Kitts was selected as the honeymoon destination.

The Caribbean Tourism Organisation is organising the annual Caribbean Week in New York during which John Gordon Andre Millard and Tricialouise Gurley will be tying the knot in front of thousands of spectators.
St Kitts is a favourite spot for idyllic destination weddings and honeymoons and shortly after the couple says “I Do” in New York, they will be whisked off to the Caribbean island nation courtesy of American Airlines, where they will spend four nights at the St. Kitts Marriott.
“St. Kitts is extremely pleased to have been chosen as the honeymoon location for this year’s lucky wedding couple,” explained Ricky Skerritt, the Minister of Tourism & International Transport.
“Destination weddings and honeymoons is a niche market that we have been targeting through our various marketing and sales efforts because it is one that we feel is a natural fit with our destination product attributes. We are grateful that our market outreach is having an increased awareness for St. Kitts as a competitive option within this key market segment, and we expect that this New York City event will help us gain further visibility.”
The Caribbean wedding will be taking place today, 6th June, 2012 at the Vanderbilt Hall, Grand Central Terminal during the Caribbean Travel and Cultural Fair, Wedding & Vacation Mart and the event has been organised by the Caribbean Tourism Organisation and Marry Caribbean.
The newlyweds will enjoy business class flights, four nights’ accommodation at St Kitts Marriott and complimentary spa treatments at the resort’s Emerald Mist Spa.
The island nation has been providing the wedding cake for the Caribbean Week wedding for many years and this is the second year that St Kitts has been selected as the honeymoon destination.
During Caribbean Week, St Kitts will be promoted as one of the Caribbean’s leading weddings and honeymoon destinations to thousands of New Yorkers and Americans.
St Kitts and Nevis is an island nation located in the West Indies and made up of two beautiful Caribbean islands that are separated by a two-mile channel.
The main island of St Kitts features breathtaking landscapes including lush green forests and winding rivers, volcanic peaks, and white sand beaches that are fringed with crystal clear turquoise ocean waters, making it the perfect location for tropical destination weddings.
St Kitts weddings are likely to soar in popularity over the next few months after the island was ranked number three on a list of the 10 Best Islands in the World by US News & World Report, as well as being named one of “5 Caribbean Islands to Discover Now” by MSNBC.
